So this is my first post on here and it is not such a user-friendly start. After trying to post two hours ago, and not being able to move photos & type around as I would like, I hit publish and was informed that the post was successfully published. When I checked the site, no post. Hmmm, thought I. I check my post list and lo & behold, it’s still not there. Ok, well I’ll start over. I like the themes available on this site, but apparently you need to be familiar with html to use it. The text boxes available in the widget catgory will not make lists. Each line, even if inside the box it looks like a list, will run into the next. I guess I’ll just have to figure out how to code line breaks for myself. Or I’ll decide if the theme is worth all the hassle.
Well for now, onto the crafty bit of this post. The last I tried this the photos were wonky & I couldn’t edit the text to wrap around them. So this time I’ll try it a little differently. I’ll just upload all the images as center images instead of trying to stagger them off to one side or other.
To describe a little about what you are seeing, the first image is of 5 separate magnets in a series I did on upcycled pages of an original play called “Two for the Seesaw.” They are done in permanent marker and are very vivid in person. Unfortunately, my cell phone camera doesn’t capture shades very well. The images with the flowing branches reminded me of women with long flowing hair & so I wanted to give these trees partners.
I was aiming for the partner trees to look like men, but they kind of just look like women with short spiky hair. Either way works 🙂 I don’t judge. Perhaps my trees are just free thinkers. LOL. In the 2nd image, you just see a closer view of my three favorites. After I cropped them to size, I mounted each one onto one of those sticky magnet backs for business cards. That will give you an idea of the size.
I really like this project & have been asked to make some for a few friends, so I should have more posts in the near future 🙂
